Roots of Hydroseeding: A Journey Through History, Innovation, and the Evolution of Erosion Control

Join me as we take a walk through history to visit the beginning of hydroseeding. Where did hydroseeding start? Why was hydroseeding introduced? What did the first machines look like? What consumables went into the machines? We will explore all of these things while we make our way from the 1940’s until now. The industry and its demands are vastly different today than they were 80 years ago. There are a large number of hydroseeding equipment manufacturers today. We will discuss the introduction of many of these brands and the changes and advantages each of them has offered the erosion control and hydroseeding industries. Apex believes there is a place for many technologies in the field and also believes that there is value in sharing what makes each technology different from one another. By better understanding the challenges we faced yesterday, and how we overcame them, we will be better prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow.
