The Rymar Water Quality Filter is a paradigm shift in stormwater management. Join us to learn how to achieve 90% TSS removal efficiency in stormwater basins, treat more of the annual rainfall and do so with a smaller pond! May sound to good to be true but we have testing per ASTM standards to back it up. Don't miss learning about this revolutionary product for new developments as well as retrofitting older ponds.
Full Abstract: Current methods to meet water quality requirements in detention ponds are flawed and often do not achieve desired results. They typically rely upon ponding and when you have a small rain event over extended period, there is little to no ponding, therefore, little to no treatment of the flow. The typical method for sizing the water quality orifice also increases the pond volume. There is also strong evidence that storm events are getting larger and treating the annual rainfall is becoming more difficult. Rymar Waterworks Innovations has developed a revolutionary new system to help meet these challenges - the Rymar Water Quality Filter.
When used in conjunction with the Marlee Float Skimmer, the system has been tested by TRI Environmental per ASTM C1746 standards and proven to provide over 90% TSS Removal Efficiency. The skimmer can often be designed to manage the lowest quantity storm event (typically the 2-yr storm event) and doing so will provide water quality treatment of all rainfall managed by the skimmer. The small rain events will flow through the filter to get to the skimmer to get discharged so it also effectively treats the small events that are difficult to treat using traditional methods.
The presentation will cover: Flaws with traditional methods of water quality in ponds Review of the research and development process for the water quality filter Benefits and challenges to using filtration in ponds Benefits and challenges to using a skimmer with a filter in ponds Review of the testing performed to confirm the TSS removal efficiency A comparison of pond design based on traditional methods vs filtration method
Please join us to learn about this revolutionary product that promises to help meet the stormwater challenges of now and the future.
